Do Not Drink … Gamble!

If you enjoy having a a cocktail ever so often, leave your money at home if you set out to do your drinking in a casino. I am serious. Leave your purse, your billfold, and leave all money, charge cards and checkbooks back at the hotel. Pack only the cash you expect to use on refreshments, tipping and whatever pocket change you anticipate to squander and keep the remainder behind.

Cynical? Absolutely not. Just realistic. You can have a success following a drunken night out with your acquaintances and be blessed enough to hit a long toss at a on fire craps game. Hang on to that adventure because it’s as brief as it gets if you regularly consume alcohol and gamble. The two just don’t go well together.

Leaving your money back at the hotel might be a little drastic, but defensive actions for excessive behavior is required. If you bet to profit, then do not consume alcohol and play. If you like to burn your $$$$ without a concern, then drink all the no charge beer you can handle, but don’t take plastic credit and checks to toss into the mix of following losses after your dead drunk self squanders all the cash!

Let me to take this one step more. Don’t consume alcohol and then hop on the internet to gamble in your favorite online casino either. I love to beer from the coziness of my abode, but due to the fact that I am linked up through Neteller, Firepay and keep credit cards in close proximity, I can’t drink and wager.

What’s the reason? Although I don’t drink alcohol to excess, when I consume alcohol, it is clearly enough to blur my common sense. I wager, so I don’t consume alcohol when wagering. If you are a drinker, do not wager when you do. Both create a ferocious, and costly, drink.
